Those who grew up in the 1980s have undoubtedly heard of the Ibanez CS505 chorus. This pedal produced the distinctive guitar sound that we hear, for example, on songs like 'A Forest' by The Cure. Ibanez now releases the well-known chorus effect as the Mini Chorus, offering the same sound but in a compact housing. The effect slightly bends and slows down your original guitar tone, creating the illusion of playing with multiple guitars. This gives you a full sound, which is why the Dutch translation of chorus is choir. The pedal is fully analog and easy to operate with three knobs for adjusting Speed (speed), Depth (depth), and Level (intensity). You power the pedal with a 9 Volt adapter.

Ibanez Mini Series stompboxes: small but not shy

With the Mini Series, Ibanez pays homage to the popular pedals of the 1980s. This was the era when the guitar brand made waves with a range of analog stompboxes that many top guitarists used and still use today. Think, for example, of Stevie Ray Vaughn and his TS808 tubescreamer overdrive, which was largely responsible for his signature sound. Additionally, there were effects like the flanger and chorus that dominated this era. With a nod to the modern guitarist, Ibanez has made this series compact so that the pedals don't take up much space on your pedalboard. This way, you get a mega sound from a very compact stompbox.
