Timeless vintage jazz lines.

The timeless offset silhouette that inspired the design of the JB401 needs no introduction: the characteristic double cutaway guaranteeing excellent access to the last frets, combined with two single-coil pickups and a 4-saddle bridge/tailpiece block. This classic configuration has been taken up by the Italian manufacturer Eko to make the JB401 an attractive, ergonomic electric bass with its contained weight and welcoming curves, and above all very versatile for beginner bassists.

A light and robust violin.

Despite its very affordable price, the JB401's construction has benefited from the greatest attention in order to offer bassists starting out on the instrument an attractive and very well-finished bass. The body is made from paulownia, a light, robust and resonant wood providing comfort and beautiful vibrations. The 4-point bolt-on neck in American maple, robust and comfortable, is topped with a fingerboard also in varnished maple, bringing even more clarity to your notes and a 50s look.

A versatile configuration.

On the electronics side, the JB401 is equipped with 2 single-coil J-type pickups with a well-known layout, highly appreciated for their snap, their mids and their versatility. Very comfortable on clean and warm sounds, they can also be very biting and percussive when associated with a powerful distortion. To extend the sound possibilities, a volume for each pickup as well as a general tone allow you to mix the characters of the different pickups and adjust their more or less bright timbre. The bridge/tailpiece block integrates independently adjustable saddles to best adjust the action and harmonic of each string and ensure effective sustain.
